Dr C S Prasanna

BIOGRAPHY

Dr Prasanna is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with 17 years’ experience of working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). He was awarded MRCPsych in 2004 and Certificate of completion of higher specialty training in 2007.

Dr Prasanna provides a comprehensive assessment and treatment for children and adolescents presenting with mental health or behavioural problems. He takes a holistic approach in using evidence based psycho-social and medical interventions which is personalised. He strongly believes in reflective practice and therefore value feedback from patients, families and professionals.

Assessment and management of Neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism, ADHD and Tics/Tourette's disorder

Dr Prasanna was a lead consultant for an ADHD service in Leicester. He was instrumental in setting up a specialist ADHD clinic and Shared care agreement for ADHD medications and Melatonin with General Practitioners that benefitted families.

He is passionate about teaching, training and Research.
