Treatment Approach

Lucy uses both CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) in her approach. Treatment focuses on exploring a young person’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours and offering practical interventions which can have a positive impact on improving an adolescent’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. Lucy also use interventions from DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) which enhances skills in regulating intense emotions.

Fundamental to therapy and counselling is a strong therapeutic relationship. Lucy ensures to create a trusting environment where a young person feels heard, understood, and accepted.
