Saty has worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the field of psychological assessment and intervention with children and adults since 2004. Prior to this, Saty worked in a variety of roles with children and young people within the context of Local Authority services. She has worked with looked after children for over 25 years in various roles; including working in Residential Management, Aftercare Services, and in placement teams. Her expertise extends to adults who have experienced complex trauma.

Treatment includes:

  • Attachment based interventions (Dynamic Maturational Model - DMM) and Family Systems work
  • Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)
  • Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT)
  • Schema Therapy with attachment
  • Compassion Focused therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Psychodynamic therapy and Intensive Short Term Dynamic Therapy (ISTDP)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) - Children and Adults

Special interests are: Complex Trauma, Children in Care, Adoption, Abuse, Attachment and Loss; Assessment of
Parenting; Contact issues and Adult attachment styles; Mental health in children, Parenting, Mental Health Service
